Principal's message

Dear Parents, Students, and Community Members:

It is with great excitement and enthusiasm that I greet you as the new principal of Babylon Junior-Senior High School. On behalf of the faculty, staff, and administration, I welcome you to our website and the opportunity to become more familiar with our school.

Babylon Junior-Senior High School has had a long-standing tradition of academic excellence, athletic accomplishment, and artistic and musical achievement. Great students, professional staff members, and a supportive community who work together to provide an outstanding climate for all of our students to learn, grow, and achieve surround Babylon Junior-Senior High School!

Learning at Babylon Junior-Senior High School is a partnership involving the entire school community, which, is challenging, engaging, encourages creativity and offers opportunity for involvement. By working together we can create a collaborative, culturally rich learning community, where a rigorous and relevant curriculum inspires students to become successful life-long learners in an ever-changing global society.

Research shows that students who are successful in school have three things in common: excellent attendance, a positive attitude, and active participation in school activities. We encourage students to become actively engaged in school. There are many opportunities for students to become involved. I encourage you to be an active participant in your child’s education. Our PTSA, BCC, BSFA, and Babylon Boosters are energetic groups of parents and community members who spearhead many school-wide initiatives.

Thank you for your support and I look forward to the challenges ahead, and the motivation of a community that promotes education and achievement. Please continue to check our website for new information and upcoming events. Go Panthers!

Sincerely,

Al Cirone, Principal

“The test of successful education is not the amount of knowledge that pupils take away from school, but their appetite to know and their capacity to learn.” -Sir Richard Livingstone
